Laura Ruzzano

Laura is a California native who moved to London in 2021. She earned her Master’s in Occupational Therapy from the University of Southern California (USC) and is specialist certified in Ayres Sensory Integration intervention and assessment.

She has spent her career working across settings, adapting her interventions to support children in Sensory Integration clinics, in the home as well as the state school setting in both Los Angeles and London.

Prior to becoming an OT, Laura earned a Master’s in Developmental Psychology from the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands where she worked as a researcher for the Dr. Leo Kannerhuis - a centre for Autism and other developmental needs.

She has since published multiple scholarly articles and continues to research and present at professional conferences on the development and treatment of sensory processing disorders, through childhood.

Laura has worked with hundreds of children, with a wide range of abilities and diagnoses, including autism, learning disabilities, ADHD, Downs Syndrome, rare neurodevelopmental and muscular conditions... to name a few. Laura is excited to bring her energy, experience, and vision for better supports to families and therapists through the Kid-Kind Collective!
