Jill Petersen

Jill received her Masters of Science in Speech and Language Pathology from the University of British Columbia, in Canada, where she worked for 5 years before moving to the UK in 2015.

She has worked in a variety of settings with a multitude of populations including children with speech and language delays and disorders, children with developmental disabilities, children with intellectual disabilities, children and adults with autism spectrum condition and adhd, and adults with aphasia.

Jill is a member of the RCSLT, HCPC, and ASLTIP. Currently, she is using PROMPT and Social Thinking methods of therapy in addition to more traditional therapy methods. Jill has worked in research laboratories and has published articles in the field of speech-language pathology in addition to working clinically.

Jill has special interest in neurodivergence, social communication differences, and motor speech disorders, but her passion is working with a client’s whole family, to ensure skill generalisation and improved confidence and wellbeing for everyone.

She is excited to be partnering with colleagues at Kid-Kind and looks forward to meeting new families in this energising multidisciplinary collective.
